We’re now just days away from Apple’s Sept. 9 event
at which it’s expected that we’ll see the iPhone 6 as well as the
Cupertino firm’s oft-rumored wearable. You Apple-hungry folk needn’t
wait until then to whet your appetite, though, as rumors concerning the
new products continue to circulate ahead of the event.
Sources speaking to The New York Times say that Apple is indeed prepping two versions of the iPhone 6: one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch display. Both models are expected to launch “in the coming weeks” with iPad-like curved edges and software that’ll make it easier for users to type with one hand. The two phones are also said to be packing NFC support for mobile payments and other information transmission.
One way in which the new iPhone models will differ is price. The 5.5-inch unit expected to be a bit pricier than its 4.7-inch sibling.
